What are the market timings?

Trading on the exchange platform takes place on all days of the week except Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays declared by the Exchange.

The Market timings are as follows:

Equity: 

9.15 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. – Normal trading for NSE Cash, BSE Cash, and NSE F&O

**All new IPOs are listed on the exchange at 10:00 a.m.

 

Currency:

 

9 a.m. to 5 p.m. – Normal trading for NSE Currency Derivatives

9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. - Cross currency

Commodity:

For MCX, trading hours are in two parts.  

Non-agricultural commodities- 9 a.m. to 11.55 p.m.

  1. · 9 a.m. to 11.30 p.m. – April to November
  2. · 9 a.m. to 11.55 p.m. – November to March

      Also, there is pre-open session and post-market sessions started by NSE.

      Timing-

      Pre-open session- 9:00 a.m. to 9:15 a.m.  

      Post-market sessions- 3:40 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.  

      Pre-Opening Session- From 9:00 AM – 9:15 AM
