What is POA in Demat Account meant for?

POA is a legal document which stands for Power of Attorney.


It gives authorization wherein beneficial Owner/you appoint Swastika as a lawful attorney and grant them permission to conduct transactions and transfer shares on your behalf. The benefit to have a POA in your account is, you won't require to sign any DIS slip on all the transactions and you can easily sell your delivery holding accordingly. 


​By virtue of the POA, you can get additional money to trade keeping your existing stock holdings as collateral. This is totally dependent on Swastika Risk Team's discretion.  


📌 Self-Client E-POA Activation Process:

Follow the steps below to activate your E-POA (Electronic Power of Attorney) smoothly:
1️⃣ Open Swastika Website – Swastika Website
2️⃣ Click on "Resume Application" – Login using your registered mobile number
3️⃣ Modify Account – Select the "DDPI" option
4️⃣ Save & Proceed – Your request will be processed

🔹 NSDL Website will open automatically (E-sign Process)
🔹 Enter Aadhaar Number – Input your Aadhaar details
🔹 Enter OTP – OTP will be sent to your registered Aadhaar-linked mobile number
🔹 Process Complete – Your E-POA will be activated
